When rescuers first met her, no one knew if she would ever walk again. But against all odds, this little survivor fought her way back — and straight into her dad’s arms. 🥹✨
Last month, Suzette Hall — founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 — received a frantic message from a Good Samaritan in Los Angeles. A tiny black-and-white pup had been spotted on the roadside, injured and barely able to move after being struck by a car.

Without hesitation, Hall rushed to the scene. The moment she saw the trembling dog, her heart sank. The pup, later named Inky, was in shock, struggling to drag herself forward. Hall gently scooped her up, whispering promises that she wasn’t alone anymore.
“She is definitely in shock,” Hall shared online. “Rescue is hard — it’s sad, it’s scary — but I have to be their voice.”
At the clinic, Inky received immediate care. As word spread, fate stepped in: within 24 hours, her real dad was found. The pup’s true name was Tulum. When he rushed into the vet’s office and saw her broken body, he collapsed in tears.

“She is all he has in this world … she is his life,” Hall wrote. “We cried and hugged together. My heart shattered seeing his pain.”
But love alone couldn’t heal Tulum — she needed urgent, costly medical care. Paralyzed from the neck down, her only hope was an MRI, surgery, and weeks of therapy. Her dad, devastated, couldn’t afford it. That’s when Hall rallied her community. Donations poured in, and soon, Tulum had the chance she desperately needed.

On November 6, 2024, Tulum underwent life-saving surgery. With laser treatments and intensive physical therapy, something miraculous began to happen — her tiny legs twitched, then slowly responded.
“Sweet baby girl is doing so well,” Hall updated. “She’s regaining feeling in her back legs. I truly believe in a Christmas miracle.”
For weeks, Tulum stayed at the clinic, her spirit shining brighter with each visit from her dad. And finally, after more than a month of recovery, the day came. Her dad walked in, arms open wide. Tulum’s eyes lit up, and the little fighter leapt forward with all the strength she had left.

“She couldn’t get back in his arms fast enough,” Hall shared. “After everything they’ve been through, Tulum and her daddy are finally together again.”
