The Little Dog Who Loves “Me Time” and Escapes Home for a Day at the Dog Spa

When we think of a spa day, we usually imagine people taking time off to relax, recharge, and pamper themselves. But one tiny dog from Brazil, named Pipoca, has shown the world that self-care isn’t just for humans—it’s for pets too. His story is not only adorable but also a reminder of how deeply animals understand love, safety, and comfort.

Pipoca’s Special Relationship with the Spa

Since he was just a playful puppy, Pipoca’s family has taken him to Dermato Vet Puro Amor, a veterinary clinic and dog spa located in Brazil. The spa, run by Mariana Silvério Nunes Campos, is well-known for providing care, affection, and wellness treatments for dogs. Over time, Pipoca developed a special bond with Campos, who always welcomed him with open arms and a smile.

It didn’t take long before the spa became more than just a place for medical checkups or baths—it became Pipoca’s safe haven.

The Day Pipoca Checked In All By Himself

Two years ago, something truly surprising happened. One morning, Pipoca managed to escape from his home. His owners were frantic, searching everywhere, worried something terrible had happened. But to everyone’s amazement, Pipoca had made his way directly to the spa—completely on his own.

According to Campos:

“Pipoca had run away from home, leaving his owners very worried. To everyone’s surprise, he showed up right here at our shop. Since then, whenever he has the opportunity to escape, he runs straight to our door.”

From that day forward, it became clear that Pipoca had found his second home.

A Weekly “Me Day” Routine

Now, Pipoca has made this a part of his lifestyle. Once or twice a week, the little dog walks nearly two blocks from his house to the dog spa. Whether it’s for a refreshing bath, some extra cuddles, or simply to relax in a familiar and loving environment, Pipoca knows exactly where he wants to be.

Whenever he goes missing from home, his family no longer worries. Instead, they laugh and call the spa immediately. Campos explained:

“His owners even joke about it. When Pipoca runs away, the first thing they do is call us and say, ‘He should be arriving soon!’”

Why Pipoca Chooses the Spa

For Pipoca, the spa is more than a place for grooming—it represents love, safety, and belonging. Campos and her team always welcome him warmly, giving him affection and attention every time he visits.

“His visits show how safe, welcomed, and happy he feels here,” Campos shared. “It brings us great joy to know that, in addition to caring for his health, we can also be Pipoca’s safe haven.”

A Lesson in Self-Care and Joy

Pipoca’s story has touched the hearts of everyone who hears it. His weekly spa trips remind us that self-care is universal—it’s about finding a place where you feel loved and secure. For Pipoca, that place is a dog spa in Brazil. For his family, it’s a source of pride and joy knowing their little pup has chosen happiness for himself.

In the end, Pipoca teaches us something important: sometimes, taking care of yourself means escaping the routine, finding your happy place, and embracing the joy of being loved.
