A decomposed body was discovered inside a Tesla registered to singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke).
The vehicle had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and later towed to an impound lot, where workers were alerted to a foul odor coming from the car.
Upon inspection, authorities found human remains wrapped in plastic in the vehicle’s front trunk (also known as the “frunk”)—the identity of the deceased is currently unknown.
Key details:
• The car is a 2023 Tesla, registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd
• Law enforcement—specifically the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)—is leading the investigation
• D4vd, a 20-year-old artist from Queens, has continued touring and posting on social media, which strongly suggests the body is not his. He’s scheduled to perform in Minneapolis soon, with an upcoming Los Angeles tour date later this month
Given the gravity of the situation, authorities are treating it as a death investigation with potential legal implications. At this time, neither D4vd nor his representatives has issued a public statement.
