In the middle of the crowded and noisy streets of the city, in a hidden corner between two abandoned houses, a stray mother cat quietly gave birth to 5 tiny kittens in a pile of cardboard. A small world, a warm family is secretly struggling against the cruelty and indifference of humans.

The mother cat is called Luna by the people around the area. Although thin and withered due to lack of food, Luna is still strong and determined in protecting her kittens. She often wanders around the night market in the evening to find leftover food, bringing it back to feed her hungry kittens.

On a rainy day, when the water was rising in the dark area, a volunteer discovered Luna and her father and kittens shivering in a pile of flooded trash. She immediately brought the kittens to the rescue center, where the veterinarian said that the kittens were all malnourished and had weak immune systems.

However, the recovery was amazing. Under the loving and caring hands, Luna gradually regained her vitality and the 5 kittens opened their eyes one by one, crawling around their mother, babbling.

When the photo of the kittens on the white towel was shared on social media, thousands of people shared and contributed. Within just 2 weeks, the rescue center found adoptive families for each kitten, and Luna was kept by the center’s staff as a “companion”.
