Brutal Attack to a Month of Healing in Bacolod Shelter

Just one month ago, Bear, a young and gentle dog from Bacolod, was fighting for his life after a horrific attack. A random, drunken man had struck him, leaving a severe wound that could have ended his story far too soon. But Bear’s fate took a turn for the better when compassionate rescuers stepped in, determined to save him.

Rushed to Juan Vet Bacolod, Bear received immediate medical attention under the care of Dr. Aaron and his team. The injury, once raw and alarming, began healing at an astonishing rate thanks to consistent treatment, proper nutrition, and a safe environment. Within weeks, Bear’s wound looked as if it had never existed—a true testament to the resilience of animals and the power of care.

Now thriving at the shelter, Bear has also grown noticeably in size and strength. What’s even more inspiring is his trust in humans, despite the cruelty he endured. Shelter volunteers describe him as calm, affectionate, and well-mannered—especially during car rides, such as his recent trip to the vet for vaccinations.

Bear’s transformation is more than just physical. It’s a symbol of hope for every abused animal who gets the chance to be rescued. His story reminds us that kindness can repair even the deepest scars, and that love can restore faith where fear once lived.

Through the dedication of his rescuers, veterinary staff, and the community who sent their prayers, Bear is now safe, healthy, and ready to embrace a brighter future.
