This week Jennifer Lopez turned heads, as she found herself in the midst of an overly dramatic and unpleasant meeting with an overzealous fan breaking a boundary in order to be near the superstar outside of her residence in Beverly Hills.
The event emerged in full daylight with Lopez as she was leaving her house to attend a planned appointment, and it quickly grew from seemingly innocent moment to an argument. Eyewitness accounts state that the 55-year-old entertainer was on her way towards her gate’s black waiting SUV accompanied on either side by her security personnel when a man walked out of a small crowd of onlookers outside those gates.
As Lopez neared the vehicle, the man leapt forward and attempted to reach her arm, allegedly saying he was just trying to attract her attention for a selfie. What followed from Lopez was quick and unmistakably alarmed.
“Do not handle me in that manner!” she had been shouting, pouring through the cacophony. Clearly shocked, Lo pesp defensively raised her hand, recoiling in reaction. Her security closed ranks, shielding her from the man, who had apparently been surprised by her response.
The fan – who has not yet been publicly identified – kept telling security he did not mean any harm and he only wanted a quick picture with the star.
No matter how hard he insisted that the contact was innocent, he was whisked away from the property at once. No police report was submitted, later sources confirmed that Lopez did not proceed to file any charges.
