Jordan, an elderly dog, endured years of neglect and abuse before being rescued by the Global Welfare and Rescue Project (GWARP). Tied to a short chain and subjected to physical abuse, Jordan’s life was filled with suffering. Despite these hardships, he remained resilient.

Upon rescue, Jordan was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. The tumor had grown rapidly, causing severe pain and threatening his life. In a race against time, GWARP arranged for Jordan to undergo an emergency amputation in Istanbul, Turkey.

The surgery was a success. Within days, Jordan began to recover, displaying his characteristic strength and determination. He regained his appetite and started to show signs of his former playful self.
Jordan’s story is a testament to the resilience of animals and the transformative power of compassion. His journey from neglect and suffering to recovery and hope highlights the importance of humane treatment and the impact of rescue efforts.
